i have a knack for collecting old books.
the smell.
the feel.
the read.
.. i love it.
and hopefully one day, i shall own an entire staircase full of old books
and now to add to my very own collection, are a pile of jane austen's classics. op shopping for books leaves a very satisfying feeling, at reasonable prices.
on another note.
three more sleeps (!!!)
and soon i shall be sitting on a plane, while listening to coldplay's 'lovers in japan' and what not

twenty-ten, time's not stopping
2009 was a good year. despite the occasional ups and downs, i enjoyed it for the most part.
..but this post isnt about the past events of 2009, rather i'd like to jot down a snippet of what 2010 will hopefully be like.
one new year's resolution is to definitely get those improvising piano techniques downpat, and be able to play something like this dude..
another, to get started on accoustic guitar.
i have a feeling this year's gonna turn out rather musical. i'm beginning to like the sound of it already :)
sorry it's been so long. i'm enjoying these holidays all too well. in fact, i find myself slowly drifting away from the things i truly wanted to do this summer because it's just been so jam-packed.
things like...
reading david herbert lawrence while sipping lipton ice tea (peach flavoured) on my balcony
or...
cyling more on that rusty old bike i got in ninth grade (might need a polish-up first)
i dont know where these two months have gone. but i must say, they've definitely been two of the best, by far...
i wish i had more pictures to put up. but in all honesty, i just can't be bothered picking up a camera nowadays. still have my eyes on a dSLR though!
that's all folks. hope you enjoyed the read
ciao

picture perfect world
life is a maze, love is a dancefloor
so take a snapshot
moments aren't forever
splash in the mud
play in the rain
crayon white walls
while walking yellow brick lane
round and round, one more time
mr. wolf's not coming til after nine
tick tock said alice
wonderland's not far
bring along your camera, stuff memories in a jar

un nouveau chapitre
even though its half way through the year. a fresh start is never too late.
2009 held a lot of surprises for me. unexpected but sweet. i realized how long i've neglected writing. i loved (and still do, love) to write. but instead, procrastination became a warm best friend, and stress peaked from the pressures of vce, and i was deprived the art of a self-fulfilling enjoyment.
i don't really want to call this a writer's block. it's not really a journal either.
it'll be something interesting. something unique away from a bizarre world of cliche'd blog-ranters. i don't know what it is (yet), but let's find out together. thank you, yet again, faithful reader
